Cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks. Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. Very thin fabric may be fine for summer but often looks cheap and becomes see through.

It is interesting to see how different people value different aspects of a product. When I test a new shop I usually start with one or two items instead of a huge order. It makes it easier to compare with an old pair of glasses that already fits well. If they ignore basic questions or reply with copy pasted text, I become suspicious. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. This is why I like reading and posting on forums and community websites.  

Just sharing my personal feedback.
